Sunset at Gaomei Wetland (Taiwan)

Gaomei Wetland Preservation Area (Gaomei Wetland) is located in Taichung, Qingshui, Dajia River estuary. It spans over 300 hectares, which is about 10% of Daijia River wetlands. It was originally accumulated silt beach.

The land is preserved to maintain the natural ecological environment.

A 800 meters long boardwalk allow visitors to be close to the preserved wetland ecology to enjoy a stroll around the meadows, streams, mire, bird watching and photography. Sunset time is a definite pleasure for grand view, sea breeze and set foot on the mudflat.

My visit was in Dec, yet it was still so warm that you could walk on the mudflat in low tide.

There are many food stalls selling all kinds of local snacks that worth to try!
